A tale of three sisters
Nov, 2021

Being inspired by the rough nature of the Nordics and deeply rooted in the Nordic design tradition, the products of byNORD all carry traditional Nordic names.

This is the story of three sisters, closely related but with subtle differences that tell them apart and make them unique.

Ingrid

Carrying the name of a Danish queen, Ingrid is a strong bed linen thanks to its percale woven cotton. The simple, patternless design makes the peaceful, toned-down colour palette come into its own – creating an inviting spot in your bedroom for a relaxing midday nap or a comfortable night’s sleep.

Dagny

The name Dagny is comprised of the Nordic words for day and new and so the name Dagny means new day. Quite fitting for the soft, crisp, and breathable bed linen, as you will wake up refreshed, recharged, and ready for every new day. The pin stripe design adds an air of understated luxury to your bedroom. The design is not printed on, instead the yarn is dyed and woven directly into the fabric, making it an integral part of part of the linen, and making the pattern last as long as the linen itself.

Erika

With her graph check pattern, Erika might be a little more edgy than Ingrid and Dagny, but she is just as soft and made from the same percale woven cotton as her sisters. The graph checks are achieved using yarn dyed fabrics, just like with sister Dagny, and her edges will not fade over time. With this bed linen from byNORD, your bedroom gets a relaxed and intimate vibe that sets the scene for a good night’s sleep.

Family ties

While the three sisters have their differences, they share a few commonalities making them all high quality, durable, and comfortable.

The bed linens are alle made from OEKO-TEX® 100 certified organic cotton in a tight percale weave. Furthermore, the bed linens have all been through an enzyme wash. All of this makes them crisp and breathable with a soft feel that only improves when you wash it. The same thing applies to the to the peaceful look of the matt colours, which is also improved through washing. This means that Ingrid, Dagny, and Erika will keep you comfortable and sleeping well for years to come.
