Nature is a force that not only can be humbling to meet when unprepared, but also has the ability to evoke strong feelings when one is confronted by breathtaking scenery and sudden appearances by the animals and humans able to live in the wild.

For me as a designer nature and the people that have chosen to live of the land are inexhaustible sources of inspiration. When we travel the Nordic region learning about its nature, traditional handicrafts, and collecting original images from remote places in among others Greenland, Iceland and the deep forests of Sweden and Finland, we are always taken aback by the wonders of nature.

In the new By Nord Copenhagen collection you will see the inspiration from nature in our renowned items as well as in a new series of cushions with portraits of proud Inuits, a bathroom series with among others shower curtains featuring motives from nature, t-shirts with powerful prints and our first range of tea based on seductive, tasteful ingredients from the Nordic nature. The tea comes in three different varieties and has been developed in collaboration with A.C. Perch’s Thehandel, which is founded in the late 1700’s and a supplier to the Royal Danish Court.
